The strength of a mature voice in historical documentaries.

The strength of a mature voice in historical documentaries.

As a professional voice-over artist in Spanish and Catalan, every project presents a different challenge. However, if there is one field where the voice plays an essential role, it is in historical docudramas, where the narration must convey both rigor and emotion.

Recently, I have had the opportunity to provide my voice for two major international productions:

  • “Pharaohs: Rise and Fall”, premiered on History Channel (AMC Networks) in June 2025.
  • “Alexander the Great: Legendary Conqueror”, distributed by Paramount Global and coming soon to platforms such as Prime Video, HBO Max, and Sky.

In both series, I voice two extraordinary women:

  • Carla Mesa Guzzo, an Egyptologist specializing in the Old Kingdom, whose research sheds light on the secrets of the pharaohs.
  • Meredith Brandt, a classical historian passionate about Alexander the Great and his influence on world history.

Both share a common trait: they speak from experience, passion, and deep knowledge. To convey that essence, the voice dubbing them must also be mature, seasoned, and empathetic.

My background as a journalist and narrator has taught me that it is not just about reading a script, but about understanding the strength of the speaker and supporting their message with respect and credibility. A mature voice brings poise, confidence, and humanity; qualities that are indispensable when the goal is to bring the viewer to the very heart of history.

In these documentaries, my job is not only to narrate but to connect with the emotion and wisdom of these expert women, ensuring that every word reaches the viewer with authenticity.

If you are looking for a professional voice for documentaries, series, or historical outreach projects, with the ability to convey experience and passion, I would be delighted to join your production.
